Katie McClure Griffin
associate broker
I’m Katie McClure Griffin, a proud native of Staunton, VA. Growing up, I spent my childhood helping my father on our family farm, which has been in operation for five generations. This experience instilled in me a deep appreciation for hard work, the value of land, and the importance of community. I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in agricultural and applied economics, with a minor in animal and poultry science, from Virginia Tech, and that education laid the foundation for my career.
Over the course of 25 years, I’ve held various sales and marketing positions within the animal health industry, working with notable companies like Novartis Animal Health, MWI Veterinary Supply, and Boehringer-Ingelheim. These roles honed my skills in building relationships, strategic problem-solving, and negotiating deals—skills that I now apply in the real estate industry. Over time, my enthusiasm for real estate blossomed, leading me to pursue my passion by becoming a licensed realtor five years ago. Three years later, I earned my broker’s license, which has given me the expertise to help clients navigate the complexities of buying, selling, and investing in real estate.
I’m deeply committed to helping my clients reach their real estate objectives by offering personalized service and expert guidance throughout the entire process. My goal is always to make the real estate experience as smooth and rewarding as possible. Whether you’re a first-time homebuyer, a seasoned investor, or looking to sell your property, I take pride in providing the information and support needed to make informed decisions.
In addition to managing my family’s farm in Augusta County, where I draw on my extensive knowledge of federal, state, and sustainable agricultural programs, I also co-manage Griffin Homes, LLC with my husband. This business focuses on acquiring and renovating properties in the Shenandoah Valley, giving me firsthand experience in the renovation and investment side of real estate. This diverse experience has allowed me to develop a well-rounded understanding of real estate, from the technical aspects of land use to the financial details of property investments.
I am also passionate about giving back to my community, where I actively contribute to local initiatives and stay involved in projects that make a positive impact on the area. Real estate isn’t just about transactions, it’s about building lasting relationships and supporting the growth of my community.
